Intr'o noapte un barbat a visat ceva.
A visat ca mergea impreuna cu Domnul pe o plaja.
Pe cerul de deasupra capetelor lor, se derulau incet scene din viata lui.
Pentru fiecare scena care trecea inainte ochilor lui, se uita inapoi si vedea urme de pasi in nisip.
El a observat ca pentru multe dintre situatiile din viata lui in nisip aparea doar o urma de pasi. De asemenea a mai observa ca aceasta se intampla in momentele cele mai dificile si triste din viata lui.
Lucrul acesta l'a deranjat foarte mult si l'a intrebat pe Domnul despre situata aceasta.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it.
“Lord, You said that once I decided to follow you, You’d walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don’t understand why when I needed you most you would leave me.”
The Lord replied, “My son, My precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you.”

"Doamne, ai spus ca in momentul in care am hotarat sa te urmez pe tine tu o sa mergi cu mine pe tot drumul. Dar am observa ca in momentele cele mai dificile din viata mea, apare doar o singura urma de pasi. Nu inteleg de ce cand am avut nevoie de tine, cel mai mult, m'ai parasit."
Domnul i'a raspuns atunci, "Fiul Meu, copilul Meu pretios, Te iubesc si niciodata nu o sa te parasesc. In timp ce treceai prin momente de incercare si suferinta, cand ai vazut o singura urma de pasi, este pentru ca in momentele acelea eu te'am luat in brate."
